ABOUT ME

My obsession with storytelling started with a simple question: How do you capture an audience’s attention and actually keep it? That curiosity led me to UNC Charlotte, where I took tackled that question from two different angles, graduating with a BS in Marketing and a BA in Film and Media Production, alongside a minor in Communication Studies. For me, film and marketing aren’t two separate worlds, they are two sides of the same coin. Whether I am drafting a script for a creative passion project or analyzing consumer behavior, I am always looking for the emotional hook that makes a story resonate. In other words, I have a passion for storytelling. I spent much of my time in college with the UNCC Film Club and have enjoyed attending meetings with the Carolina Film Collective. I am always looking for the next story to tell, take a look at my work, and let’s connect!

FILMS

How-To Video:

Created for a Media Communications class, we were instructed to create a how-to video in a short format, with a ~2 minute time restraint.

Short Film: NEXT STOP

Created on a whim with a friend, this short film was written, filmed, and edited within a weekend— filmed entirely at night.

60- Second Self Portrait:

The first video project I did in college, we were instructed to create a self portrait in the form of film, the only stipulations being that it had to be 60-seconds long, and we had to say “I’m (name).”

Documentary: Through My Mother’s Eyes

Created for part of an assignment in a film class, we were instructed to create a 5-minute documentary about someone we know, I chose my mother. An emotional story, filmed on a camcorder— this project was not only emotionally challenging, but technically challenging as well.
